7a Conferência Internacional de Nitrogênio da International Nitrogen Initiative (INI 2016)

A cidade de Melbourne/Austrália receberá no período de 4 a 8 de dezembro de 2016 a 7° Conferência Internacional de Nitrogênio da International Nitrogen Initiative (INI 2016) com o tema: "Soluções para aumentar a eficiência de uso de N no mundo". Os resumos extendidos de 4 páginas podem ser enviados até o dia 29 de abril de 2016, encaixando nos seguintes subtemas: 

1. Avaliação global e regional de nitrogênio
2. Gerenciando a complexidade da ciclagem de nitrogênio em um mundo urbanizado
3. Equilibrar o papel do nitrogênio nas economias emergentes e em desenvolvimento
4. Fontes e eficiência de uso de nitrogênio em produção vegetal e animal
5. Impactos do nitrogênio em ecossistemas terrestres e marinhos
6. Avanços nas técnicas de medição e modelagem dos fluxos de nitrogênio e transformações
7. As abordagens integradas, análise de ciclo de vida e indicadores para monitorar o desempenho
8. Melhorar abordagens de comunicação e políticos

On behalf of the Australian Organising Committee, we present to you our vision of the 2016 International Nitrogen Initiative Conference to be held in Melbourne, Australia. Our committee comprises eminent scientists from universities and government, as well as prominent people from the farming and fertilizer industry from Australia and New Zealand.

Holding the INI2016 conference in Australia is an opportunity to engage with those in Oceania as well as south-east and east Asia, regions where the balance between food security and the environment are keenly felt.

Research in Australia and New Zealand is supported by universities, government and industry and is engaged with the global science community. Holding the conference in Melbourne will allow additional synergies to develop as we address “The Nutrient Nexus” of reducing nutrient losses while supporting an economy that is able to produce food and energy for all of our human family.

The 4-day conference will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, one of Australia’s most well-known venues which houses world class conference facilities. The location is central to the city and there is a range of accommodation and dining options all within walking distance.

Melbourne has international and domestic air services and is regularly serviced by the airlines. It is a safe, clean and friendly city that offers visitors the opportunity to spend time in one of the world’s most livable cities.
